Next Steps is a three-week program that guides you to discover your redemptive purpose and live the life God created for you. The program is made up of three steps that equip you to follow Jesus, connect at church, discover your purpose and serve others.

Next Steps is designed for those who are new to our Church, or those who just received Christ as the Saviour and longing to have a deeper relationship with Him, to grow in a community, be planted in the local church and be involved in church’s activities. 

Classes start every first Sunday of the month and runs for three consecutive weeks. You are welcome to jump in at any time!

Apakah yang akan saya pelajari di Next Steps?

Kelas Next Steps terdiri dari tiga sesi, yaitu Connect, Grow, dan Serve. Pada kelas Connect, peserta akan belajar mengenai keselamatan dan pribadi Yesus. Selanjutnya, kelas Grow akan membahas lebih lagi mengenai pentingnya pertumbuhan dan komunitas. Sesi akan ditutup dengan kelas Serve dimana peserta akan dituntun untuk menemukan tujuan mereka melalui tes kepribadian dan karunia roh.

Apakah harus ikut kelas NS baru kelas berikutnya? Apakah boleh langsung ikut kelas pemuridan lainnya?

Gereja menganjurkan untuk mengikuti Next Steps terlebih dahulu untuk mengenal lebih dalam mengenai Tuhan dan Gereja-Nya.

Apakah anak saya yang masih di bawah 12 tahun dapat mengikuti Next Steps?

Anak di bawah 12 tahun belum disarankan untuk mengikuti Next Steps karena materi yang disampaikan dan cara penyampaian disesuaikan untuk jemaat-jemaat di atas umur 12 tahun.

Apakah saya boleh ikut Family Community (FC) tanpa menyelesaikan Next Steps atau kelas pemuridan lain?

Bisa, tetapi menganjurkan untuk semua peserta FC untuk menyelesaikan kelas Next Steps agar dapat mengerti bagaimana Christ Cathedral menjalankan komunitas dan esensi dari komunitas itu sendiri.

Apabila saya hanya mengikuti 2 dari 3 sesi di Next Steps, apakah saya harus mengulang semua kelas dari awal?

Tidak. Ketika berhalangan untuk mengikuti satu atau beberapa sesi dengan alasan yang jelas, anda dapat mengikuti sesi yang tertinggal pada angkatan selanjutnya.

Saya sudah pernah dibaptis di gereja lama tetapi sertifikat baptisan saya hilang dan/atau sertifikat tersebut tidak bisa saya dapati. Saya sekarang berjemaat di Christ Cathedral dan mau menikah di Christ Cathedral. Apakah saya harus menyelesaikan Next Steps dan dibaptis ulang?

Perlu mengikuti Next Steps dan mengikuti baptisan air ulang apabila anda rindu untuk mendapatkan surat baptisan dari Christ Cathedral. Atau, anda bisa meminta surat baptisan dari gereja anda sebelumnya. Kalau ada surat baptisan, anda tetap perlu mengikuti Next Steps untuk menjadi jemaat tertanam di Christ Cathedral dan dilayani menikah di Christ Cathedral, tetapi anda tidak perlu dibaptis ulang.

What will I learn in Next Steps?

Next Steps consists of 3 sessions, which are Connect, Grow, and Serve. You will learn about salvation and knowing God, the importance of continual spiritual growth and having a community in the local church, and discovering your purpose through personality and spiritual gifts tests.

Can I register for another discipleship class before I take Next Steps class?

The Church strongly encourages everyone to attend Next Steps class first to get a better foundational understanding about God and His church.

Can my child, who is below 12 years of age, join Next Steps?

Children below 12 years of age is not recommended to join Next Steps because the content of the materials delivered were designed for people over the age of 12.

Can I join Family Community (FC) without completing Next Steps or other discipleship classes?

You can, but we highly recommend for you to complete Next Steps to gain a better understanding of the importance and essence of having a community in Christ Cathedral.

If I only attended 2 out of 3 classes in Next Steps, do I have to re-do the class from the beginning?

If you are unable to attend one or two sessions, you can attend the next Next Steps class that you missed out in the following month.

I have been baptized in my previous church but I lost my baptism certificate. Now, I am a member of Christ Cathedral and plan to get married soon. Do I need to join Next Steps and be baptised again to get a baptism certificate?

Yes, you have to join Next Steps class and be baptized again to receive a Certificate of Baptism from Christ Cathedral. Otherwise, you can get the certificate from your previous church. However, you still need to join Next Steps to be a member of and be married in Christ Cathedral. You may not need to be baptized again.
